War with cold

War with cold
Today I was astir
Betimes before the sun,
For I envied its might in warmth.

I rushed to the frigid outside
To set the war,
To drive away the cold,
That I had been confounded
To take asylum from
Within walls

My heat cooled,
I saw the mist rise with esteem
As I effused warmth from within...

The war I lost,
And for contriving my liver puissant enough
To warm the atmosphere,
I should be checked.
